Marque Urgent Care is proud to once again sponsor the 3rd annual Newport Beach 1st Battalion, 1st Marines Foundation Beach Challenge on Saturday, January 19th at the Newport Dunes. This incredible competition provides the unique opportunity for civilians to battle the Marines at their own game. The 1st Battalion, 1st Marines is one of the most outstanding and distinguished units in the Marine Corps. For anyone who seeks the ultimate fitness challenge, this is the event of the year. There are a variety of grueling challenges ranging from a sandbag carry called “Build a Bunker” and “Clear the Trench Grenade Toss”. The Beach Challenge combat is hosted by the Newport Beach 1/1 Foundation, a non-profit organization, providing support to the men and families of the 1st Battalion, 1st Marines during abroad deployments. Marque Urgent Care is honored to be the first aid station at such a fine competition.Marque Urgent Care continues to take an active role in the community and the 1st Marines, 1st Battalion Beach Challenge is a notable event for the city. The clinic has treated the residents of Newport Beach for over 30 years and firmly believes in fostering tight integration with local residents. It’s a great opportunity to interact with the patients that they care for outside the medical setting. As indicative of other Marque Urgent Care sponsored events, the medical team is fully prepared to care for anyone needing medical assistance. The physicians and medical assistants are looking forward to interacting with the local Newport community in a social setting. “We’re proud to be the first aid station again this year at the 1st Battalion, 1st Marines Foundation Beach Challenge. We see so many great people at our clinic and we love it when patients stop by our booth to say hi,” exclaims Dr. Nathan Kiskila. “Newport is a terrific community and we are privileged to have such incredible people as our patients.”
Marque Urgent Care not only gets involved with Newport Beach local events, but also actively sponsors events in Rancho Santa Margarita, home of their second location. Marque sponsors the Santa Margarita RanchoFest, Tijeras Creek Little League, the Annual Kids Konnected Golf Tournament at Dove Canyon Country Club, and the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Marque Urgent Care looks forward to a long-standing relationship with the communities they serve and will continue their active involvement in local events.
