Physicals and DOT Physicals

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Marque Medical offers a variety of on-site physicals performed by trained physicians, not mid-level providers. Whether for school, work or your personal health, physicals and general examinations are important for a variety of reasons.

The most common physicals are:

Annual/Basic Physicals: An annual or basic physical is an evaluation of your overall health. It includes a thorough medical history and lifestyle review, a physical exam, screenings and discussion with one of our doctors.

School/Sports Physicals: While these are not always required by schools they are often recommended. A Participation Physical Examination (PPE) reviews existing conditions and can determine whether it’s safe for you to participate in a particular sport.

Pre-Employment Physicals: These physicals, which are followed by a discussion with one of our doctors, are often required by companies to evaluate a prospective employee.

Pre-Operation Physicals: A pre-op physical is necessary for anyone who has a scheduled surgery. The pre-op physical should be performed a few weeks before the surgery. If a patient has multiple surgeries on the calendar, a pre-op physical is necessary before every single operation. Pre-operation physicals often include an EKG (electrocardiogram), blood and urine tests, and sometimes a chest X-Ray.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
